The Group Classes are fun, exciting, and an educational training opportunity for you and your dog. Our group class instructors have experience in obedience training and as a training instructor.

The purpose of a group class is to work with your dog around other dogs and to focus on distractions, socialization with other dogs and people, and to learn and/or master the sit, stay and heel commands. A great compliment to our 'Boot Camp', 'Boarding School' and 'Play and Train' programs. Come enjoy a class at our new Plano location at Spring Creek & Coit with a state of the art, indoor training facility at Spring Creek and Coit.
Classes offered will be at Pappy’s Plano.

Beginner Class Material Covered
- Positive reinforcement will be utilized in the training process
- 4 week course offered on Saturdays from 1p-2p

- Behavioral problems such as jumping on furniture and people, running away, chewing, and digging
- Recalls-Coming when called

Intermediate Class Material Covered
- 4 week course offered on Saturday from 2:30p-3:30p
- Teaching advanced obedience
- Dogs and handlers learn a long down stay with distractions
- Out-of-sight down and stay with distractions
- Intricate heeling on and off leash
- Controlling Prey drive
- Greeting people and dogs
- Desensitization to the doorbell
- Plus a variety of practical obedience and manners
- Fun Tricks will be learned too!!
- Non-aggressive dogs may participate in group play time

Requirements/Supplies Needed
- Age: Puppies must be at least 16 weeks of age (4 months) and must have all sets of vaccinations, including DHPPC, Bordetella and Rabies
- Rabies: Yearly or every 3 years
- DHPPC: (Distemper/Parvo) Once per year
- Bordetella: (Kennel Cough) Once every 6 months
- Nylon or lightweight metal slip collar and a six-foot nylon leather leash.
- These supplies will be available at a minimal additional cost upon request.
- Registration and Pre-payment are required to attend the course
ALTERNATIVE to GROUP CLASSES
These are great for potty training or any other specific problem.
