Pet Technician

Pet Technicians are the solid foundation of Pappy's Pet Lodge.  We look for active, responsible individuals with strong work ethic.

Job requirements/specifics:
-Full-time hours (between 35-40 hours per week)
-Available: 6:45am - 7pm daily, weekends and holidays required. Our normal shifts are: 6:45am – 1pm, 1:00pm – 7:00pm, or 6:45am – 1pm and 3pm – 7pm.
-Very reliable transportation
-Must be comfortable with pets and dogs of ALL sizes
-Duties include: Cleaning, caring for pets - cleaning, walking, feeding, and interacting, professional and friendly communication with customers, managing dogs of all temperaments, some dog baths
-Personality requirements: Upbeat, go-getter, organized, strong multi-tasker, works well individually or in a team environment, reliable
-Willing to rotate between multiple locations, if needed.
-Training provided
-Opportunities available for advancement within the company
-Employee Benefits: Holiday and Overtime pay. After probationary period an employee may receive a raise based on performance, free doggie daycare, and/or boarding for their pets. After 6 months with Pappy's, employee receives paid time off.

Pet Technician Lead

Lead Pet Technicians are experienced team members that have strong personalities and lead by example.

Job requirements/specifics:

-All Pet Technician Duties, plus:

-Lead duties: Facilitate daily routine, administer medication, create a positive working environment, lead pet technicians in a team effort, ensure that the responsibilities for each day, week, month, and quarter are completed correctly and efficiently, handling difficult dogs, conflict resolution

Guest Service Representative

Guest Service Representatives are vital to the success of Pappy's Pet Lodge.  They are the face of the company, handle our clients with exceptional customer service, and ensure that proper care instructions are taken.  They are also active and knowledgable with the care of the pets in our facilities. 

Job requirements/specifics:
-Full-time hours (between 35-40 hours per week)
-Available: 6:45am - 7pm daily, weekends and holidays required
-Very reliable transportation
-Must be comfortable with pets and dogs of ALL sizes
-Technology Requirements: Must type a minimum of 40 wpm, basic computer skills i.e. Word, Excel, Email
-Duties include: Checking pets in and out for lodging, daycare, and grooming; Professional and friendly communication with customers and veterinarians via phone, in person, and email; Making reservations; Working in kennel when needed; Caring for pets - cleaning, walking, feeding, and interacting; managing dogs of all temperaments, some dog baths
-Personality requirements: Upbeat, go-getter, organized, strong multi-tasker, works well individually or in a team environment, reliable
-Willing to rotate between multiple locations, if needed.
-Training provided

Bather

Each one of our exceptional groomers has a bather to help them handle all the pups that get groomed each day.  A good bather is such a blessing!

Job requirements/specifics:
-Full-time (5 days per week), Fridays and Saturdays required

-Must have prior bathing experience
-Hours: 9:00am – until all grooms are completed
-Very reliable transportation
-Must be comfortable with dogs of ALL sizes.   Cat and exotic pet grooming a plus

-Grooming duties required to perform: bath with shampoo and conditioner, blow dry, deep brushing or furminating, cleaning ears, brushing teeth, clipping and/or dremeling nails, expressing anal glands


-Cleaning duties: Groomers and bathers are responsible for keeping the grooming area clean, organized, and free of potty messes.

-Personality requirements: Upbeat, go-getter, organized, strong multi-tasker, reliable


-Background check and drug test will be part of hiring process
-Willing to rotate between multiple locations, if needed.

Groomer

We have one groomer per location, so we depend greatly on our groomers to satisfy our clients. In turn, our groomers are very successful.   Our clients entrust us with their precious pets, and know that we provide a wonderful grooming experience.

Job requirements/specifics:
-Full-time (5 days per week), Fridays and Saturdays required

-Must have MINIMUM 5 YEARS GROOMING EXPERIENCE
-Must supply own grooming tools
-Hours: 9:00am – until all grooms are completed
-Very reliable transportation
-Must be comfortable with dogs of ALL sizes.   Cat and exotic pet grooming a plus

-Grooming duties required to perform: bath with shampoo and conditioner, blow dry, deep brushing or furminating, cleaning ears, brushing teeth, clipping and/or dremeling nails, expressing anal glands, performing hair cut to the customer’s specifications or AKC standards


-Cleaning duties: Groomers are responsible for keeping the grooming area clean, organized, and free of potty messes.

-Customer Services duties: Groomers are required to communicate with the customers regarding desired hair cut and pet needs, issues during grooming process, price increases due to condition of coat or behavior, and pickup phone calls.

-Personality requirements: Upbeat, go-getter, organized, strong multi-tasker, reliable

-Willing to rotate between multiple locations, if needed.

Pet Sitter

Pappy’s has a growing pet sitting clientele that trust us to spoil their pets while they are away. Pet Sitters are representatives of Pappy’s outside our facilities, so we need professional, responsible, and animal loving employees that will reflect our commitment to exceptional pet care.

Job requirements/specifics:
-Part-time hours based on amount of pet sitting and client’s needs. Pet Sitting will be done during daytime, evening, and weekend hours, depending on pet sitter and client schedules.


-Professional animal care experience a definite plus!

-Very reliable transportation
-Must be comfortable with animals of ALL sizes, breeds, species, and temperaments

-Pet Sitting duties required to perform, depending on client needs: Feed and water pets, Walk or jog with dog(s), clean up potty messes, poop scoop, administer medication, playtime, cuddle time, cleaning litter boxes, bathe dogs if necessary, water plants, rotate house lights, collect mail and newspaper


-Ability to do overnight pet sitting a big plus: Pet Sitters will be requested to stay overnight at a client’s home with their pet(s), while also providing a morning and evening walk and midday potty break.

-Cleaning duties: Pick up potty and throw up messes inside and outside, keep client’s home clean throughout pet sitting. Leave client’s home exactly how it was found.

-Customer Services duties: Pet Sitters are required to communicate with the customers regarding desired pet(s) needs, services requested, and pet updates. A home consultation will be done prior to a pet sitting job. Pet Sitters communicate daily with their client to report on how their pet(s) are doing and send a daily picture. A report card is left after each pet sitting job. A follow up call or quick meeting is required after a job to return their key and make sure they are back in town as expected.

-Personality requirements: Upbeat, go-getter, organized, reliable, responsible, well spoken


-Background check, drug test, and credit check will be part of hiring process

-Although rare, customers may have home surveillance cameras in their home

-Willing to rotate between multiple locations, if needed.

Trainer

We typically have 1-2 trainers per regional area – Plano/Richardson area, Roanoke, or Rockwall area. We depend greatly on our trainers to give the best training experience to our client’s. We look for experienced, professional, and positive trainers.

Job requirements/specifics:

-Part-time hours – depending on classes and private lessons given each week. We like to have classes on a routine schedule. Training will be done during daytime, evening, and weekend hours, depending on trainer, client, and Pappy’s schedules.


-Must have MINIMUM 3 YEARS PROFESSIONAL TRAINING EXPERIENCE. Trainers must have a wide range of training experience.

-Training duties: Instruct puppy to advanced group training classes. Conduct private lessons at a Pappy’s location, client’s home, or a specific location. Training given would include: puppy issues, basic to advanced obedience, behavioral modification, and aggression issues. Must be a professional and effective teacher to dogs and their owners.

- Specialty training topics a plus, such as agility, flyball, rally, barn hunt.

-Customer Service duties: Fast and professional communication following training leads. Communicate effectively with customers regarding their training needs, your instructions, problems that need to be addressed, lessons learned in private lessons, and payment or paperwork need.

-Must be comfortable and experienced with dogs of ALL sizes and temperaments
-Very reliable transportation
-Personality requirements: Upbeat, go-getter, organized, reliable, well spoken

-Background check, drug test, and credit check will be part of hiring process
-Willing to rotate between multiple locations, if needed.
-Employee Benefits:   After probationary period, employees receive free doggie daycare and/or boarding for their pets. After 6 months with Pappy's, employee receives paid time off.

-Training References will be needed.

Manager

Our outstanding managers oversee the day-to-day operations of one of our facilities, handle our clients with exceptional customer service, and maintain a cohesive well-organized staff! 

Job requirements/specifics:
-Full-time hours (between 35-40 hours per week)
-Available: 6:45am - 7pm daily, weekends and holidays required
-Very reliable transportation
-Must be comfortable with pets and dogs of ALL sizes

-Experience requirements: Minimum 2 years of managerial experience.

-Technology Requirements: Must type a minimum of 40 wpm, basic computer skills i.e. Word, Excel, Email

-Manager duties: Leading an upbeat well-organized staff, ensure that facility follows all company procedures correctly, employee payroll and schedules, customer conflict resolution, weekly and monthly reports, responsible for the accountability of team members

-Customer Service duties: Checking pets in and out for lodging, daycare, and grooming; Professional and friendly communication with customers and veterinarians via phone, in person, and email; Making reservations; Data entry and filing; Maintaining clean and orderly facility

-Kennel duties: Working in kennel and caring for pets when needed - cleaning, walking, feeding, and interacting; managing dogs of all temperaments

-Personality requirements: Upbeat, go-getter, organized, strong multi-tasker, a true leader and role model, works well individually or in a team environment, reliable

-Willing to rotate between multiple locations, if needed.
-Training provided

Maintenance

We have a great need for many projects to be completed, so a great handyman is a must! We need a handyman that has a wide variety of skills that can think creatively to solve and/or fix a problem area on a reasonable budget. Projects may include: painting, fix drywall, install FRP on walls, sand blasting, building improvements, mowing and weed control of a small area, fixing miscellaneous items, construction. Plumbing and electrical skills a plus!
